J & J Properties built a custom home for our family in 2007.  We absolutely love our new home! 

 They were very accommodating from the very start, taking us to tour several homes under construction to obtain ideas.  Manolo and Irene Fernandez actually took us on a tour of several homes that were part of the Parade of Homes in 2006 (on a Sunday afternoon) so that we would be able to “picture” our new home.  It was during this tour that we arrived at our house plans, “The Sullivan”. Manolo sat down with us prior to building to create an additional bathroom that better suited our needs – which made our home even more accessible and spacious. 

Throughout the process J & J always looked after our needs and represented our interests with all subcontractors, making sure that we were satisfied with our new home.  One instance I remember was when Jimmy Withers and Manolo debated long and hard with the cabinet subcontractor, just so that we would have our cabinets the “right” color.

I  also recall many long evenings when Manolo was still working on our home, putting the extra care and detail into the home like it was his own.

Just for fun, I went on a tour during the Parade of Homes for 2008 – it was amazing to me the lack of detail that many of the homes exhibit, making me even more proud and satisfied with my home.

Irene Fernandez handles all the billing, always providing an extremely detailed report and accountability for every item and cost associated with construction.  They have done a tremendous job not only building our home, but providing that extra customer service to meet our needs.

We are extremely honored and proud to have our home built by J & J Properties of Hickory and would definitely recommend them!
