Using Stock Home Building Plans.

Building a house from stock plans.

In reality, stock plans generally end up being customized before it's all over. You move a window here, a wall there etc. But that's not really considered a 'custom home'.

If you're building a house that you plan to live in for several years, you just as well build it the way you want. There are a lot of things your contractor can do to stock plans to 'make them yours' without having to redraw the entire plan.
